Flight Program
This program is for high school youth ages 15 and older. Students learn how physics affects the world around us and how to understand relationships between gravity, lift, drag and thrust. Students are trained using the Jeppesen 141 training system, and they are given stage exams to help prepare them to take the FAA Written Knowledge Exam, which can lead to flying solo and a private pilot's license. The course exposes youth to many aeronautical careers, while learning: fundamentals of flight, airplane systems, aerodynamic principles, interpreting weather data, and exposure to flight in YAEF's C-152 training aircraft.
